Coal in Kentucky:
We are please to announce that “Coal in Kentucky” has been nominated for an Emmy from the Ohio Valley Regional Emmy Awards. The documentary has aired on KET multiple times and is being used in classrooms around the state. For more information contact jmartinez@engr.uky.edu.
The Media for Research Lab within the Vis Center and the Department of Mining Engineering, College of Engineering at the University of Kentucky have received funding from the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet for a video documentary project with supporting on-line materials and educational events exploring the enduring significance of coal mining in Kentucky.
The intent of this project is to present a balanced picture of coal in Kentucky.
