Dr. Gerry Swan is an assistant professor of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education. Dr. Swan's interests include the use of interactive media with instruction and computer managed instruction and research. His research looks at how online environments can be used in data collection and presentation to facilitate the use of best practices in educational environments. Data-Driven Decision Making, Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement are increasingly popular ideas in education, but the tools and practices to make it a reality are far behind. Through the development and testing of online environments, Dr. Swan seeks to bring the potential to the classroom.
