Immersive Environments

Education

The Vis Center provides unique opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students from a wide variety of disciplines to collaborate with one another and with our faculty. Students interested in pursuing training on visualization-related topics should refer to our list of faculty and directly contact those members with compatible interests to learn more about current educational opportunities. Note that individuals interested working at the Vis Center while pursuing graduate degrees must apply for admission to one of the following degree-granting programs. Interest in the Vis Center should be clearly stated in the personal statements or cover letters that accompany applications.

Many of the Vis Center faculty are also involved in the graduate certificate in human-technology interaction. Those students interested in the certificate (similar to a graduate “minor”) must either be students in a degree-granting program at UK or must apply for post-baccalaureate status through the graduate school.
