EurekaVision Hyperspectral Imaging System

Contact: Matt Field field@vis.uky.edu

List Price: $36,255

The EurekaVision Hyperspectral Imaging Systemcollects and processes information from across the entire electromagnetic spectrum, including ultraviolet and infrared. Certain objects can be identified by unique spectral signatures. The EurekaVision system collects information as a set of images, where each image represents a range of the electromagnetic spectrum. These images are later combined to form a 3D cube for processing and analysis. The precision of these sensors is typically measured in spectral resolution, which is the width of each band of the spectrum that is captured.

Optech Lynx Mobile Mapping System

Contact:

Ruigang Yang ryang@cs.uky.edu
Steve Dominick steve@cvve.net

List Price: $445,000

The Mobile Mapper is a rapid collection of survey grade 3D data. The Lynx lidar sensors are mounted to the top of a 4-wheel drive vehicle to collect 3D point-cloud data using laser technology over large areas that are impractical for static sensors, but require more accuracy and resolution than airborne technologies. The Lynx has an accuracy of better than 5cm and a resolution up to 1cm and can be captured from a vehicle traveling up to 100 km/hr. The Lynx is powered directly by the vehicle's battery/alternator system. In additional, the lidar sensors operate as an IEC/CDRH Class 1 which contains zero risk for potential eye safety hazard and is invisible to the human eye. The Lynx has a 360 degree field of view and can capture 100,000 shots/sec per sensor.
