Human Factors


Human Factors and the STITCH ProjectHuman Factors is a multidisciplinary field that studies the science of understanding the properties of human capability as well as the application of this understanding to the design, development and deployment of systems and services. Human factors studies all aspects of the way humans relate to the world around them with the intention of improving the experience of the end user.

Through the Vis Center recent research in Human Factors includes research into mental workload in medical applications, cognitive workload in perception of time, and measurement of mental workload with visualization techniques.
